A colony of Carshrew was recently discovered deep underground after a wild Onix had tunneled through the cavern it had been sleeping in. The crystals growing on its body are thought to be millions of years old.

When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly. Born from the high temperatures and pressures deep underground, it defends itself by firing beams from the jewel part of its body.
