Butterwoodo feeds on tree sap and tree bark, usually standing in place at the trunk of a tree for hours on end. The wings on their back mimic those of other Bug-type Pokémon, warding them away by making them think there's already a Bug-type on the tree.
It mimics a tree to avoid being attacked by enemies. It has a superior ability to search for delicious honey from flowers.
