Bonbuff is almost always in an apprehensive state and needs lots of reassurance from its Trainer. Whenever it develops enough trust with its Trainer, it happily rolls around without worry.

Bonbuff gingerly approach new Pokémon when they are left at daycare. They have a difficult time making friends and often struggle with learning social skills, so Trainers are advised to encourage them to play with other Pokémon.

Its soft and pliable body is very bouncy. It looks as if it is always crying.
