An inhabitant of tropical beaches, Bellgast is a friendly creature that shuffles and dances near where flowers grow. Touching the shovel on its head, however, causes it to generate sandy tentacles that grab a person and throw them into the distance.
It likes the shovel on its head, so Bellgast will get serious and fight any children who come to take it back. Its flower petals deepen in color through exposure to sunlight.
