Barita's surface is so slimy that the Pokémon is nearly impossible to pick up. Barita travels throughout watersheds to reach larger lakes. If the streams dry up due to the weather, it uses its stubby legs to crawl through the mud.

It waves its leaf around to keep foes at bay. Its body is covered with a slimy film.
