Jigglybell uses its hollow body as a means of amplifying the sound of its songs. During the rainy season, it is filled with rainwater, altering the types of sounds it can produce.

During winter, Fartoise flies to warmer climates to stuff its shell with fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Unfortunately, it becomes so heavy that it has to make the journey back by foot.
