The webbing of an Ariavern's wings helps them to ride upon wind currents that flow throughout the canyons they make their nests within. They spit and weave more silk webbing to focus or disperse their powerful sonic waves.
They fly around on moonless nights and attack careless prey. Its feet are tipped with tiny hooked claws that enable it to scuttle on ceilings and vertical walls.
