A Ariareon's fur is actually a fine silk that it has woven around its own body for protection. Due to its natural warmth, many weaker Pokémon are easily tempted to embrace this silk and will become trapped to later serve as a meal for an Ariareon.
Ariareon's fluffy fur releases heat into the air so that its body does not get excessively hot. Its feet are tipped with tiny hooked claws that enable it to scuttle on ceilings and vertical walls.
