To conceal its bright body, Arianoir relies on the trunks of large forest trees and their deep shadows. When small birds or Bug Pokémon draw near, it fires a String Shot from the mouth on its stomach, dragging its prey into the hollow.

The antenna on its head captures radio waves from the world of spirits that command it to take people there. Its feet are tipped with tiny hooked claws that enable it to scuttle on ceilings and vertical walls.
