Sandchic live in nests within their parent's burrow, found in dry and arid locations. During the day, Sandchic will explore the areas surrounding the burrow. If they feel threatened, these Pokémon will hunker down and curl up to protect themselves.

If attacked, it strikes back by spitting balls of fire it forms in its stomach. When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly.
