Sandfing leave a trail of sand wherever they go. Whenever they run out of sand, they are no longer able to levitate. To prevent this from happening, they refill by eating sand from the ground.
Getting up close to a Sandfing will give you a chance to observe, through its thin skin, the toxic gases swirling inside. When it curls up in a ball, it can make any attack bounce off harmlessly.
