Ratrow are sometimes called "apex vermin" due to their tenacity and destructive eating habits. Ratrow chewing through roofing tiles is the leading cause of roof leaks in Kanto.
Ratrow can often be seen gnawing on rocks mid-flight to whittle down its fangs. It is not uncommon for it to drop these rocks, and there have been many occasions where the falling rocks have hit people in the head.
