Politail amasses a large amount of foamy bubbles within its mouth. Once it spies prey, it releases the bubbles to obscure the prey's vision and leave them vulnerable to being snatched up into Politail's jaws.
To withstand the crushing water pressure deep under the sea, its spine is very thick and sturdy. It is possible to see this Pokémon's spiral innards right through its thin skin.
