After a forest faces a disaster, Phantoh descends and makes a home in the remains of the forest. Phantoh's presence is said to bring life to wherever it resides.
Its feathers--which glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light--are thought to bring joy. These Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died in the forest.
