Onquil curl their bodies into balls while sleeping, resembling an ordinary rock. If picked up or disturbed, they will release bursts of flames from their backs.

It flares flames from its back to protect itself. There is a magnet in its brain that prevents an Onquil from losing direction while tunneling.
