Nidono doesn't inflict its poison by normal means; it instead uses its psychic powers to poison its opponent's mind by using its pendulum. The poison causes severe headaches, nausea, and muscle spasms.
The arcing movement and glitter of the pendulum in a Nidono's hand lull the foe into deep hypnosis. When it is with its friends or family, its barbs are tucked away to prevent injury.
