Mantoise tactically commands a set of Remoraid and other Water-type Pokémon in battle with such expertise that it is as if they were extensions of its own body. It is a mutual arrangement: Mantoise shares its food equally among its welcome company.

The waterspouts that protrude from its shell are highly accurate. On sunny days, schools of Mantoise can be seen elegantly leaping over the waves.
