Litmander leaves waxy footprints wherever it walks. It uses its fire to lead travelers astray and feed on their life force; the larger and brighter the flames on its head and body, the more recently it has fed.
The flame that burns at the tip of its tail is an indication of its emotions. While shining a light and pretending to be a guide, it leeches off the life force of any who follow it.
