Because its body has hardened to the point that Kakran can barely move, the poisonous spines covering it serve as its only defense outdoors. It usually hides beneath tree roots, waiting patiently for the time to evolve.
Its highly toxic barbs are thought to have developed as protection for this small-bodied Pokémon. It remains virtually immobile while it clings to a tree.
