Legends claim that the first known Jolice formed when a Joltik had attached itself to a Pikachu. The Pikachu used a thunderbolt to dislodge it, which caused it to hurtle into an unsuspecting Regice. To this day they seem to be wary of Pikachu.
Its entire body is made of Antarctic ice. They attach themselves to large-bodied Pokémon and absorb static electricity, which they store in an electric pouch.
