Upon seeing someone in danger, Ho-don swoops down from the clouds, placing itself between the victim and the attacker. It creates dazzling rainbows as it flies, which it draws power from to breathe devastating, multicoloured flames.

Any frontal attack is repulsed. Its feathers--which glow in seven colors depending on the angle at which they are struck by light--are thought to bring joy.
