Despite Girather having scarily sharp spikes on its scythes, it mainly uses them to cut grass into small strands to eat. However, it's still recommended to stay away from the scythes since they can suddenly move and strike on their own.

Its blindingly fast speed adds to the sharpness of its twin forearm scythes. A Girather is an herbivore--it eats grass and tree shoots.
