Forelp's swimming muscles are very weak, so it wraps its tail around seaweed to avoid being swept away by strong currents. Due to their vibrant appearance, many aquarists love including Forelp in their personal aquariums.
Camouflaged as rotten kelp, they spray liquid poison on prey that approaches unawares and then finish it off. When the sun rises, Forelp spreads its four leaves and bathes in the sunlight.
