There's a common urban myth that says anyone who hears a Duscmur's scream is doomed to die the next day. Luckily, Duscmur's vocalizations are well above the audible range for humans, and no Pokémon have been observed dying from hearing its calls.

Its cries equal a jet plane in volume. It is thought that its body is hollow with only a spectral ball of fire burning inside.
