Due to spending most of their lives in dark caves and underground, their eyes are horribly underdeveloped. This has also led them to be rather violent, as they will thrash about if they come across something they don't recognize through scent.

They cannot see, so they tackle and bite to learn about their surroundings. Its drill-tipped tail is used to burrow into the ground backwards.
