At night, Chingwhirl cries out from the treetops with a loud ringing call. Those who have heard the sound describe it as strident, yet beautiful.

Whenever Chingwhirl takes a step, a slight ringing sound can be heard. When threatened, it can amplify this sound loud enough to deafen anyone too close.

Its body surface is always wet and slick with an oily fluid. It emits cries by agitating an orb at the back of its throat.
