While one of its two heads eats, the other always stays alert to prevent wild Pokémon from attacking it. Butterlous can navigate while flying even in total darkness thanks to its highly sensitive antennae.
Since their two heads do not get along and compete with each other for food, they always eat too much. It has a superior ability to search for delicious honey from flowers.
