The semi-aquatic hatchling of an Exeggutops. The underside of its eggshell carapace and claws are coated in a yolk-like antimicrobial gel that protects it from dehydration and many water-borne illnesses.
Exeggtops is the neotenic or axolotl-like state of the Exeggutops line. Having stunted its development by choice or through a nutrient-poor environment, it has grown a stronger shell and developed keen eyesight to hunt in the dark sea.
A sprouting seedling or hatchling that has moved ashore to mature after finding sufficient nutrients and sunlight. From this point onward in its development, it can perform a vegetative reproduction by detaching its smaller 'propagule' Exegguto.
