Onkyu buries itself in cavern floors and pops up to ask for hugs from passing Trainers. When a Trainer is unable to hug Onkyu due to it being made of solid rock, Onkyu gets depressed and burrows further into its hole.
Its actual appearance is unknown. There is a magnet in its brain that prevents an Onkyu from losing direction while tunneling.
