The tail of a Surill has a unique layer of fuzz that prevents it from being submerged underwater. This hydrophobic layer of fuzz helps them stay on top of the water when they get wet.
Its body is covered with water-repellent fur. They gather on puddles after evening downpours, gliding across the surface of water as if sliding.
